MXC on Spike should be mentioned. Who doesn’t laugh wildly when the guys dub over the talk of the Asian people as they get knocked senless by objects?

Nip /Tuck positives: None of the main characters are refugees. Sailboats, drinking, money are plentiful, as mentioned.

Sopranos negatives: Overly made up, disease infested Joisy accented gutter snipe are not fratty. Trashy McMansions with tacky furniture are definitely not fratty. Guidos don’t know squat about Italy except those horrendously gaudy clothes; nor do these people know about good wines and their food consists of twenty forms of pasta, cheese and meat with some red sauce, oregano and garlic- that’s not fratty. The show makes guido meatbags feel unreasonably proud- that’s the antithesis of fratty.

Sopranos positives: Sharing construction contracts and working local politicians may be the essence of fratty. One of the few things on television about any sort of fraternity that doesn’t make me want to cancel my cable subscription. Frattabbing, granted.

Seinfeld is not inherently fratty (New York + Jewish) but is probably still the funniest sitcom out there. Much of the humor and episodes are fratty, also. Jerry shacks with random girls constantly, many jokes are those that would appeal to the typical American male.

The Office is not really fratty, but is fucking hilarious. Also, the character Andy Bernard definitely dresses fratty and once says that he shot a shark with a harpoon of his dad’s boat in the hamptons which is fratty.

the sopranos is not a horrible choice for #5 but I’m guessing there are many better shows that don’t have the overall quality of the sopranos, but certainly frat harder.

Entourage better be on this list.
