As you may or may not remember (too much fratwater) from years past, your Institute of Fratology has held an annual tournament coinciding with March Madness to determine the frattiest item. Costas and Croakies took the Frat Crown for the first couple of years, then Hazing literally paddled their way to the championship last year. We decided to add a new twist to the 2010 tournament. This year we will let you, the knowledgeable Fratology students, vote for the frattiest school to be crowned the 2010 Frat Madness Tournament champion.
The following is the procedure and format for this year’s contest. First, we will take your frattiest school nomination via Facebook. If you have not already, please add Douglas Neidermeyer to your friend list. Then, send Doug a Facebook message with the name of your school nomination in the subject heading. Each student may make only one nomination and nominations on Doug’s wall, the comments section, our e-mail account, etc., will not count. The deadline for school nominations is this Saturday. Next, Doug and Eric, or a pledge, will read all the nominations and seed the top 64 schools. The tournament featuring your top 64 nominations will tip off the following Thursday.
We just added a whole lot of madness to your already fratty March, so crack open a fratwater and begin contemplating your nomination for the frattiest school that will forever be enshrined in the Hall of Frat.

Hobart represents the Northeast in frattiness, W&L is beyond fratty, yes that particular w&l frat is geeky but the rest of their houses are fratty as hell. They have the $, southern culture, southern gentleman, and even the bros from the north are frattier than half of the rednecks down at ole miss, come to washington and lee and see what being fratty is all about, and Robert E. Lee, your dissing the school you founded, attended, and were the president off, and your burried along with the rest of your family!

What the hell is wrong with some of you “fratdaddies”? It’s fraternity, not frat, you gdi’s. I expected better from those who supposedly go to the frattiest institutions in our great country (and yes, the deep south frats the hardest, which makes it even more disappointing). I’m in Big10 country, so I’m not one to really talk, but being constantly surrounded by tier2 gelheads calling their fraternity a “frat” takes a toll on even those who truly embody the fratty lifestyle.

Ty Webb, you should have your head checked sir….. Though i personally attend Texas and would never be caught dead attending schol in Oklahoma period, i would MUCH prefer the Greek Life at OSU and Tech compared to OU.
Case in point= Stillwater, OK (home to OSU) has one of the most impressive statistics……most beer consumption per capita than any other city/town in America. Damn fratty if you ask me sir. OU sucks the most balls of any college in America, im pretty sure. The cops there are strict as fuck, and the parties suck my asshole. OSU, on the otherhand, is a genuine college town, and campus is literally dominated by a selects few 1st tier fraternities, and i mean dominated. Nearly every aspect of campus is somehow controlled by the greek community.
Though i am brought up to despise Tech, i will admit their greek system is exceptional as well, and the sorostitutes there blow my mind. Plan A’s lurking at every corner, and boy are they horny.
Thank you g.m.f.b for the respect you show the Tech greek system. All these comments calling us trashy are pathetic. A solid amount of people here come from very wealthy families. Also, thanks to the Texas greeks for the first class hospitality last fall. Y’all do it right down there.

im a brother at an sec school. Basically the whole SEC should get a 1 or 2 seed. if you are not going to fraternity parties, then there is nothing to do in clemson, so they should get that recognition. just because you “dress the part” doesnt mean your school is “fratty.” you also have to look at how much your school is affected by the fraternity system. The SEC schools eat, sleep, and breath fraternity life, which is why they are on top of everyone’s lists. Miami of Ohio is the only school out of the southeast that should get any recognition close to what the sec gets because they have the miami triad, which is made up of three very important fraternities. for the person who mentioned weed, yes that can be fratty. think about it, you wake up and get high all day so you can get through class. theres a difference between hippy pothead, and a brother who just likes to get high… the main one being the brother doesnt care about trees and all that like hippies do.

South Carolina should have a higher seeding, as many here have indicated. Also, Wofford College in SC should be in the mix. Otherwise, any schools outside of the south have no business being seeded. Period.

everyone who says they should be seeded because their school is 40% greek or has the largest greek community needs to shut the fuck up. just because you have a lot of greeks doesnt equate to fratty. i go to ucf we have like 16 fraternities here but theyre all from south florida or new jersey it seems. repping ed hardy and affliction teees all day with their hair gelled to the max. i wouldnt really consider any school in florida as fratty. my top four would be bama, south carolina, georgia, and ole miss.

TCU is placed appropriately as a top 8 fratty school. Everyone that assets the contrary has obviously never been here. We have over a 40% greek population, and it seems like more because GDIs tend to stay in doors because they burn in the glory of our frattitude.
TCU is certainly the flagship school of Texas. People from SMU have mixed it up. Getting Blowys from sorostitutes is what is fratty (TCU), not doing blow (SMU). Also, on a scale of Abercrombie to Affliction, UT scores about an Ed Hardy in Broness.
I am not even going to Dignify Tech with an argument. They just suck ass on a daily basis…. as per their defeat by pledge ass Ivy Leaguers.

Hamden-Sydney is full of kids who were too dumb to get into a more prestigious school, too unathletic to go anywhere decent at sports, and too scared to leave their home state of VA. Not to mention what type of fratstar is going to go to a school full of dudes? Because Hamden-Sydney is an all guys school it should be stricken from the list. HS is exactly like its abbreviation stands for a High School (actually more like all male catholic high school or prison… group showers at both required)
the College of Charleston IS frat my friends. I am a former frat star from Charleston. Charleston, itself, is the MECCA of all things fratty and Southern. Back off of CofC…though it is 68 percent female, it is a fratty ass school. Far Superior to any SEC school except Bama and Ole Miss.
Excuse me, but there are fraternities other than in the south. The University of North Dakota is a nationally ranked binge drinking school, with a strong centralized Greek community. Although its total student body is dwarfed by larger schools such as LSU and Georgia, which are undoubtedly frattastic, its frat stats are strong. On a side note there are many fratdaddys on the west coast who should not be doubted.
HSC is a very fratty school. i dont go there but i acknowledge that they are fratty. Its a small school full of rich boys who want to have dogs and guns with them. They dress fratty, get drunk all the time, throw ragers with the girls at all the other school right around to go to HSC every weekend. And not to mention that the only school who has pledge maybe as hard as theirs is Alabama, and everyone knows that frat heaven
As a Man of Ole Miss, I have a lot of things to clear up. You can’t go wrong with an SEC school and can’t really place any single one of them outside of a top 4 seed. I’ve traveled many schools around the country and have a lot of insight of what indeed is fraternal. Texas, is indeed fratty. Round up is one of the best parties ever attended. University of Arkansas, extremely fratty. 2 or 3 seed. You will never fail to be amazed each and every visit to Fayetteville. Fine bitches, real humble guys. TCU not as fratty as thought of. Fraternity dorms? Come on now? SMU, drug use percentage higher than greek life. You take that how you want. Any schools south east frattiness can be found, no Floridas.

I feel like we are leaving out an SEC school that gets overlooked because it is in Mississippi…and that’s Mississippi State. Only 2.5 hours away from the school “up north”, we frat pretty hard in Starkville.

Baylor is not even an Evangelical school but decent attempt. Baylor is pretty fratty. They breed CEOs, congressmen, business owners, and country club members. The surrounding area of Waco has no relation to the Greek system which is above the 40 percentile mark among the student body. Plus you have to have some frat in you to pay the $42,000 per year.
